VOLARIS GROUP, A CONSTELLATION SOFTWARE COMPANY, Responsive Microsite – Creative Direction, IA, UX/UI Design

Volaris Group is in the business of M&A – they acquire and grow vertical market software companies. The intended audience for this website is software companies in the marine vertical. The objective of this microsite was to inform prospects about who Volaris Group is and the benefits of selling their company to Volaris Group.

In the Discovery session, I met with stakeholders to gather information and to gain a solid understanding about the business, project objectives, target audience and goals.

An empathy map was created to gain deeper insights into the user, based on a typical scenario.

Scenario: Marc Anderson, a software company owner in the marine industry is nine years away from retirement. He has been running a small but successful software company for 33 years and is looking to sell his software company when he retires. He wants to make sure it’s sold to a great company that would look after his business and continue the legacy he has worked so hard to build over the decades.

In the Information Architecture phase, a sitemap was created to convey the structure of the microsite and to map out the various pages.

Wireframes were created to convey the page structure, functionality and interactions.

The mobile versions of the wireframes incorporate design best practices, including suitable touch targets and the right type sizes to ensure great usability.

To convey the UI, visual design mock-ups were created. The visuals reflect the marine industry by the use of photography, graphic elements and hues of blue.
